Thanksgiving is TOMORROW!
Honestly could not be more excited. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays for various reasons — I love watching my little sister get delirious off sparkling apple cider, topping the sweet potatoes with marshmallows, competing in the annual family Pictionary games, and basically stuffing my face with chocolate chess pie topped with my mom’s famous homemade whipped cream. And for my family, this year is one of our biggest Thanksgivings yet!
Whether or not your holiday entails a crazy family reunion, a small intimate gathering or a Friendsgiving, it’s a great opportunity to wear your falliest-of-fall attire. Here are some comfortable, trendy looks I’ve come up with that are perfect for any type of get-together (and will also disguise a potential food baby).
I picked up this 14th & Union cardigan at Nordstrom Rack. It’s different from all my other sweaters and it adds a cozy touch to your ensemble — I’m obsessed with how soft it is. I paired the cardigan with dark jeans, taupe booties and a simple white tee because I’m all about high-quality basics when wearing a dramatic trend piece.
I absolutely love this look! Last weekend my parents came to visit and I wore this outfit the day we ran errands all over Austin. I received many compliments on this jacket and it was super lightweight and comfortable!
White jeans may come as a surprise for the fall, but don’t underestimate their year-round potential. Winter white is definitely a thing and when combined with boots and a military jacket, the lighter color softens the look.
As for jewelry, I have on small diamond earrings, this James Avery ring, my UT class ring, this Kendra Scott charm on a gold chain, a Pandora bracelet, my Alex & Ani bracelet, and a stone bracelet from Nordstrom Rack.
I’m a huge fan of matching simple pieces with interesting colors or accessories. Thanksgiving has always been a fun time for me to try out a new fall outfit, and hopefully these ideas have inspired you to do so as well!
