Today, let’s talk about glasses.
I’ve worn the same pair of Banana Republic glasses since I was told I needed them in the first place, so you could say I’m looking for an update in the eyewear department (not to mention, I lost my glasses case and my current pair is severely scratched — ugh!). After years spent lusting after Warby Parker eyewear, I’m super excited to share my experience with their Home Try-On program and an outfit inspired by my favorite pair.
First, let me explain how Home Try-On works. You head to this page on Warby Parker’s website, select five pairs of your favorite glasses (they can be eyeglasses or sunglasses or both), fill out your shipping info, and Warby Parker will send them to you for free. After playing around with them at home for five days you ship them right on back, in the same box, with the included return shipping label. It’s nearly foolproof! If you can’t live without one (or more) of the five glasses, simply order them online so Warby can send you a fresh new pair.
I’m not going to lie, I struggled choosing only five pairs. Pictures say a thousand words, but they still don’t tell you how a pair of glasses will look on you. I liked the noted “Staff Pick” stickers on some of the pairs that help you decipher which ones are hot, trendy, or great for a multitude of face shapes.
Here are the 5 frames that I chose:
As you can see, I opted for a sunglass/eyeglass mix — I just couldn’t say no to that bottom pair! I received my order promptly, less than a week after I placed it, and appreciated Warby Parker’s communications team. I received separate emails for order placing, order processing, order shipment, and a kind reminder to send them back after five days had passed. Noted and appreciated, Warby!
My glasses arrived individually wrapped in an easily resealable box for return shipping. I, of course, began to model them all in the mirror… Some turned out better than others (see photos below), but I can definitely say Warbys stand true to their “good eyewear, good outcome” policy. Their glasses are durable, comfortable, and chic.
My favorites ended up being the Simone eyeglasses and Banks sunglasses. I’m a sucker for anything tortoise and my blush obsession hasn’t faltered just yet. Inspired by the Tea Rose Fade of the Simones, I put together this look that’s perfect for the office (or a multitude of business casual occasions).
The soft brown in the Simone glasses matches the warmth of the booties and suede skirt, pulling the look together for chillier seasons to come. I played off the blush tones with my rosy watch and bracelet (all linked above!). I especially love how well this look works now, later in the fall, and even with tights and a jacket for the winter.
My experience with Warby Parker’s Home Try-On introduced me to my new favorite pair of glasses (that I absolutely need) and some super cute sunnies (that I, unfortunately, do not absolutely need). Overall though, Warby Parker rocks. They incorporate modern and trendy ideas into classic shapes and patterns while keeping the price point relatively low for the eyewear industry. If you’re in the market for a new pair of glasses, either eyeglasses or sunglasses, I definitely recommend Warby’s Home Try-On. At the very least you’ll get a better idea of what you’re looking for, and at the very best you’ll find the perfect pair!
Thanks for reading, y’all!
Thanks, Warby Parker, for collaborating with me on this post! All opinions are my own.
