I’m definitely ready for summer to be here (bring on bikinis and the beach!) but I’m trying to practice the act of being in the present. Which means let’s focus on springtime, allow Mother Nature do her thang and pull together a few more cute looks for these in-between months!
Additionally, I’ve fallen head over heels (pun intended) in love with these adorable mules. What’s better than a palm leaf in May? I know, good question. These shoes actually make me smile every time I wear them, they’re only $69 AND they’re comfy enough to wear all day.
I snagged this striped peplum top from J.Crew Factory last weekend and unfortunately, it’s already out of stock. Ugh! I’ve linked a few similar options below as well as a solid back-up in the outfit detail section.
I’ve been using this look as sort of an outfit template lately to make getting ready in the mornings just a little bit easier. Know what I mean?
Easy spring outfit = White or regular denim + Printed top + Printed shoes
People oftentimes shy away from mixing prints, but I’m all about it. To successfully pull together a look like this, make sure the two prints are different sizes (like how I mixed large stripes with shoes of a smaller pattern). This keeps the eye from getting overwhelmed. Stripes play well with virtually any other print, as long as they are different sizes.
It’s fun to mix prints of contrasting colors or ones of the same color family. I’m all about a monochrome look, too!
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed this post, as well as this gorgeous weather that is springtime!
