Happy February loves! This is the best time of year to celebrate love. Being honest, I’m not about cheesy lovey-dovey things – I don’t like teddy bears or chocolate covered cherries – but I do like using Valentine’s Day as an excuse to show loved ones just how much I care about them. I’ve pulled together five Valentine’s date ideas that are guaranteed to make the special person in your life feel extra loved!
Cook together a meal together.
Yum! What’s better than mixing up your favorite meal and/or dessert together while getting hot and heavy in the kitchen? Cue low lights, your love’s favorite wine and a delish dish.
See a movie.
This could be just a regular Friday night for you and your honey, but spice it up with a romance or drama film. Bonus points if you create a home theater vibe and watch from your couch with your babe’s favorite candy or drink.
Revisit your first date.
I am completely obsessed with this idea! Go to the restaurant, bar, or wherever you and your S.O. had your first date. This is really special in itself, but tell your lovey why you fell in love with them while you’re there. Extra extra special!
If you’re feeling like splurging on V-day, this is a great way to do it. Everybody likes to get a massage and doing it with your loved one is super intimate. Relax, enjoy, and maybe ask for some romance-themed aromatherapy while you’re there.
Go out for a sweet treat and exchange gifts.
Gift giving (and receiving) is definitely a love language and Valentine’s Day is a good opportunity for it. If you or your S.O. don’t want to break the bank on a fancy dinner or couple’s massage, grab some ice cream and exchange gifts with each other. I’d rather have a new pair of Outdoor Voices leggings than a fancy dinner on V-Day, but to each their own!
Hope that you found this quick list helpful for your Valentine’s plans. Let me know in the comments what you and your babe will be up to!
